Signing up to receive emails from the Volunteer Coordinator is a way to know what’s happening AND how you can help.  The best part is that you can choose to sign up or not. When you have some time and a volunteer activity appeals to you, sign-up. Can’t? Don’t worry, they’ll be another opportunity around the corner. When you have a minute, get a background check done.  ​Shoreline Schools Link for volunteer application instead of going to front office for background check- https://www.shorelineschools.org/Page/8424  All volunteers that work with students have to have a current and up to date background check.

Current Volunteer/Connecting Opportunities

Interested in joining the PTSA in a leadership role? We have a few options available.

Advocacy: 
A one- to two-term commitment dedicated to building strong PTSA. Ideally a Co-Director position with staggered terms to ensure continuity. Keeps track and informs membership about local regional, national and state legislative activities that affect the education and welfare of children. Surveys the membership about Washington State PSTA legislative priorities for the year. Represents Einstein at WSPTA's annual Legislative Assembly in the Fall where the platform is voted on for the current year. 
 
Family Services Coordinator: 
Work with the WORKS to support their efforts in our community. (sock drive, underwear drive, holiday baskets, etc.)

FACE/DEI Liaison
Most work is done with Shoreline PTA Council's FACE/DEI committee.  You will help identify opportunities to increase DEI in PTSA programming.  You are responsible for attending council committee meetings and bring news and information back to the school PTSA.  

Communications
Looking to help PTSA from home?  This is your opportunity to help!  You will be responsible for posting on Social Media, Emailing through Parent Square & possibly help with updating the PTSA website.
